"Educating our communities and elected officials about the needs of survivors in our local cities and towns requires year round focus. JDI is our pathway to informing and influencing the state and national agenda to end sexual and domestic violence." ~ Karen Cavanaugh, Executive Director of Womanshelter/Companeras. CORPORATE PARTNER HIGHLIGHT:
JDI is proud to call Mintz Levin our law firm partner. For over twenty years, Mintz has collaborated with JDI and our members to support survivors. Beyond their financial support, Mintz has provided essential pro-bono legal representation and advice on matters ranging from confidentiality of records to human resources. Their attorneys have offered expertise in developing public policy responses in the legislative and regulatory arenas. Most recently, a team of pro bono lawyers from Mintz Levin worked with JDI, Victim Rights Law Center, and BARCC, for several years to pass Massachusetts legislation that allows sexual assault, stalking, and harassment victims to obtain criminally enforceable protective orders, filling a gap in the existing statute.
