Four times a year JDI hosts awareness and prevention campaigns to help improve public understanding, shift public attitudes, and ultimately prevent and end sexual and domestic violence:
January – Stalking Awareness and Prevention Month
March – Massachusetts White Ribbon Day (held during Women's History Month & International Women's Day)
April – Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Month
October – Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month
These campaigns coincide with nationally recognized months and other anniversaries. Local agencies and state and territory coalitions around the country produce posters, advertisements, materials, and events. You can download materials, attend and/or sponsor events, and help spread the word.
(Check back later for materials from our past campaigns.)
We hope you'll join us at local and statewide events throughout the year. Bring along a friend, colleague, or relative. Check out the What's Happening section for JDI activities and the public calendar of events sponsored by our members and allies..
