What's Happening

"Educating our communities and elected officials about the needs of survivors in our local cities and towns requires year round focus. JDI is our pathway to informing and influencing the state and national agenda to end sexual and domestic violence." ~ Karen Cavanaugh, Executive Director of Womanshelter/Companeras. Prevention is Possible

Lysetta Kelly and Debra
JDI's Executive Director Debra Robbin attended and spoke at a gathering with Lt. Governor Karyn Polito on Cape Cod, hosted by Independence House. The LG traveled around the stateto talk about what's needed to prevent sexual violence.
JDI attended each of the regional gatherings and echoed the vision put forth by our members that it's never too early to talk
about these issues, ...culturally specific...invite...follow up..
Debra is pictured here with Lysetta Hurge-Putnam, Executive Director of Independence House and President of the JDI Board of Directors, and Kelly Dwyer, Executive Director of the Governor's Council to Address Sexual and Domestic Violence.
