Are you motivated to make a difference and change our culture? Are you energized by the recent outpouring of voices of survivors and wonder how you can help amplify their message?
Join us as we raise our collective voices to make long-lasting and sustainable social change and end violence and oppression in our society. We invite you to explore the many ways you can be part of the solution.
Policy Action
Our systems advocacy agenda includes both funding and policy issues that will affect the lives of people impacted by sexual and domestic violence. Subscribe to our action alerts and stay up to date with what is happening at the State House and in our nation’s capital. Get to know your elected officials on the local, state, and federal levels and let them know why these issues are important to you. Take action now.
Be a Changemaker
The work to end gender-based violence is not limited to individuals, we know it takes a community approach to affect change. If you are a group or company ready to have a positive social impact or are an individual who wants to make a difference, we are ready to work with you.
Events
Whether we are celebrating an ally, hosting a conversation, sponsoring a prevention training, or organizing a fundraiser, JDI’s events look to inspire and create social change. Find out where and when you can join us. Visit our public calendar. For information about our 2022 Spring Into Action breakfast, click here.
Learn More
Take the first step and learn more about these issues and how you too can help improve systems, responses, and options. Most of JDI’s webinars, in-person trainings, and conferences are open to the public. You can watch past recordings on JDI’s Webinars and Trainings Playlist. Check out the JDI Calendar for public events, conferences, and trainings.
Volunteer and Internships
There are a variety of ways you can use your time and talents to assist JDI and our network of member programs.
Volunteer to be a White Ribbon Day Ambassador, be a part of our advocacy action network, join a committee, host a local event, or work directly with survivors at an organization in your community.
Join our team as an Intern. JDI offers several internship opportunities throughout the year. The minimum commitment is for 10 hours per week (during regular business hours) for at least three months. Several of our member programs also offer internships for those interested in direct service, community outreach, and more.
Donate
When you donate to JDI, you express your commitment to social justice and a world free of violence. Your charitable contribution is an investment: an investment in safer communities, an investment in saving and improving the lives of countless individuals and families, and investment in our future.
